The COMMANDOS will be hosting a car show this Saturday, June 2nd at Hendersonville High School. 2009 Hendersonville alum Kevin Stephens with KSI will be hosting the show to help the HHS football team. Kevin was a leader on the 2008 COMMANDO team that won a Region Championship playing on the offensive and defensive lines, he was voted as Team Captain along with being named the Most Valuable Offensive Lineman in the Region and 1st team All-County. He went on to play at Cumberland University, before moving back to Hendersonville. He has helped coach the Junior Commandos as well as at Hawkins Middle School, and hopes to be able to help with the High School. The car show on Saturday will be at the high school beginning at 8:00 am and ending at 4 pm. $6,000 in prize money will be awarded at 4:00. Bob Frensley, Town & Country, PPG Paints, Winnelson, and Music City Autoplex will be sponsoring the event. There will be a live DJ and concessions. Car Registration is $20 and Admission is $15 with a portion of the proceeds going to the HHS football team. All of the current COMMANDO players will work at the event with a group working from 8-noon and another group working from noon-4:00. We hope you can make plans to attend this fun event and help out KSI and the HHS football program. The top three players that have the most people attend and sign up for them will also receive a prize so tell the people at the gate who your favorite player is.
